Yola was a life long resident if Welsh. LA, who was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic. She was active in the church choir and Catholic Daughters and her husband owned and operated Welsh Insurance Agency for over 50 years. She was one of the Roaring 20's Group in Welsh who preformed throw out Louisiana. She was a loving wife and mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed. SURVIVORS OMITTED. She was presided in death by her husband, George C. Peterson; daughter-in- law Kathy Peterson; parents Louis and Lula Doucet and brothers, Carl, Hilton, and Hiliary Doucet. A mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday June 8, 2018 at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Welsh, LA. The Rev. Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Seven Dolors Cemetery.
