Charles Schwartz, 58, died at 5:30 p. m. today at his home in Tovey after an extended illness.
Decedent is survived by his wife, Martha; two children, Mrs. Mary Thomas of Springfield, and Roy of St. Louis; one sister, Mrs. Nora Williams, Rolla, Mo.; one brother, Clarence, Waynesville.
He was a member of the Woodman lodge and of the P.M.W.A. (Progressive Mine Workers of America)
Remains were removed to the Masterson funeral home.

Carl and Myrtle were the neighbors of Charles E. Pack in Tovey, IL.
Carl gave Myrtle a Bible on Christmas Day, 1918. It was used by Myrtle, Mary Evelyn Schwartz and Lois E. Thomas. The Bible has names and dates written by all three. Now in my possession along with many photos of the Williams and Schwartz family. I also have the bedspread crocheted by Myrtle...Lois E. Thomas, Portland, OR 1999
