He was born Sept. 27, 1928 in Alton, son of the later David Lonzo and Wynona Shiverdeck Turntine. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Turntine; and one sister , Beatrice Turnbull. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he was, before retirement, employed by a mining company and owned and operated Turntine Sanitation Co., for several years. He was a fireman for the Potosi Fire District. Mr. Turntine was a member of the Springtown Victory Church. [SURVIVORS OMITTED.] Friends may call today at Gum and Son Funeral Home in Potosi. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gum and Son Funeral Chapel in Potosi with Rev. Phil Wade officiating. Burial will be in Redbud Memorial Gardens in Potosi.
