Born Oct. 18, 1925, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late Clarence C. and Mary John Walter. He was a 1943 graduate of Chambersburg High School. He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot after 32 years of service. After retirement, he was a messenger for Kenneth Auto Sales, Fayetteville. Mr. Walter was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Newfoundland. He was a Lutheran and a member of Eagles Club Inc., Waynesboro, and Burt J. Asper Post 46 American Legion, Chambersburg.
