Kent was also a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus and a supporter of the Welsh Greyhound Backers. He served as a member of the Jeff Davis School Board and coached his sons T-Ball and Pee Wee Football Teams. In his professional life he started as an insurance agent and later became an Operator for Phillips 66. Kent had a deep passion for fishing and golf, but his greatest joy came from spending quality time with his family. His unwavering faith, kindness and devotion made him the embodiment of a very good and honest man. Kent had an eclectic taste in music with a passion for Pink Floyd. Kent proudly claimed to be the first person in Welsh to own a Led Zeppelin 8-Track Tape. While he loved being at home and on his porch, he also enjoyed being on the road traveling. In recent years, he visited Nova Scotia for ancestry research and also attended several practice rounds at the Augusta Masters. Kent or otherwise known as "Petey" will be remembered for his Intelligence, quirky humor, quick wit, calm reassuring presence. But most all "Petey" will be missed for his unwavering loyalty as a Husband, Father, Son, Co Worker and a Friend.  Parents George C Peterson 1918-2000 Yola Doucet Peterson 1930-2018
