      LOIS TONEY Obituary

      LOIS RUTH TONEY, 87, of Big Ugly, W.Va., a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2018, at Meadow Brook Assisted Living, after a lengthy illness, with her family by her side.

      She was born October 20, 1930, in Sun, W.Va.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Milton and Willie Belle Byers; her husband, John Toney Jr.; her son, Edward Wayne Toney; her grandson, Edward Wayne Toney; her brothers, Cecil, Don Allen, Vernon, Herbert and Lonnie Ray Byers; half-sister, Nellie Coleman, and two half-brothers, Woodrow and Royal Coleman.

      SURVIVORS OMITTED.

      She became a Christian at the age of 17. She had a passion for singing and playing the piano at church. She graduated from Mount Hope High School. She worked as a Readers Aide for two years at Big Ugly Elementary School. She spent most of her time as a homemaker. She will be deeply missed by her family.

      Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Chapmanville, W.Va., with Rev. Ernest Neace and Rev. Oshel Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Edward Wayne Toney Memorial Cemetery, Ranger, W.Va. Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Chapmanville, W.Va.

      The family would like to give a special thank you to all the caregivers who gave of their time to care for our mother.
