"Charlie" Kirk, 74, of (information omitted) died at 7:20 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette. He had been a patient there for one week. Born Oct. 8, 1933, in Bloomington, he was the son of the late Shirley and Ruth Driscoll Kirk. He attended high school in Bloomfield. He married Marjorie J. Masterson in Covington on June 16, 1958, and she died Jan. 9, 2004. He worked for the former Globe Valve factory in Delphi for 26 years before retiring, and had worked at the former Duncan Electric in Lafayette for several years. Mr. Kirk was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1955, and a member of the Monticello American Legion and Delphi Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9383. His hobbies were flower and vegetable gardening and bird watching. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed NASCAR and Indiana University sports. SURVIVORS OMITTED.
