Nelson, 82, of Jefferson, passed away peacefully, July 28, 2019 at Jefferson Health Care. She was born June 22, 1937 in Elizabeth, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Albert and Beatrice (Smith) McCroskey. Graduate of Wirt County High School Elizabeth West Virginia in 1955. Lucy worked at Sheffield Filter for 22 years and Home Health Aid for 19 years, and from 1992 to 1999, Owner of Lucy’s Country Kitchen at Holiday campgrounds, then retiring in 2012. SURVIVORS OMITTED She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Rice; grandson, Dan Rice and Jason Nelson; daughter-in-law, Cynthia Nelson; and three brothers, Kellis, Gayle, and Ellot. Funeral services will be on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 10:30 AM at the Zaback- Williams- Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula with Pastor Paul McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Kelloggsville Cemetery in Monroe Twp. Visitation will be from 9:30 until the time of service at 10:30 AM. Should friends desire memorial contributions may be made in her name to a charity of your choice. Zaback-Williams-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 W. Prospect Rd., Ashtabula is handling arrangements.
