Barney Edwin Calvert Sr., 76, a journeyman electrician, died Feb. 28, 2010, in Decatur, Texas.
His family wrote that he "went to be with the Lord."
A graveside service was held March 4 at Ryan Calvert Cemetery in Decatur with the Rev. Mark Autry officiating.
Barney was born Aug. 30, 1933, in Bristow, Okla., to Lucious Edwin and Ella Edna Ralston Calvert. SURVIVOR OMITTED. Barney worked on the trans-Alaska pipeline from 1973 to 2007.

Barney was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
