He was born Feb. 22, 1930, in Perry, Ohio, a son of the late Albert K. McCroskey and Beatrice Smith McCroskey. He was retired from Union Carbide where he was a furnace operator; he was also a cabinet maker and was a Wirt County bus driver. He was a member of the Two Ripple Baptist Church. He is survived by a brother, Kellis H. McCroskey (Nellie) of Belmont, Ohio; and a sister, Lucy B. Nelson of Jefferson, Ohio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine Wells McCroskey; a son, Paul Michael McCroskey; a brother, Ellet I. McCroskey; and a sister-in-law, Wilma McCroskey. A tribute to his life will be noon Wednesday at the Busch-Kimes Funeral Home, 836 Washington Street, Elizabeth. Burial will follow in the K of P Cemetery in Elizabeth.
