Kincaid, pages 178-179. -- "On March 11, 1794, Chief Doublehead and his outlaws ambushed a party on Richland Creek, killed two Baptist preachers, the REVEREND MARTIN HAGGARD and the Reverend Thomas Shelton, and two ministers of the Dunkard Order. Records in the same area include two others believed to be brothers of those named.
